Rainforest Tea Towel Fundraiser

Schools across Australia are finding fresh, creative ways to combine learning with community fundraising. One standout example is Living Faith Lutheran Primary School in Queensland, where a tea towel fundraiser brought rainforest studies to life.

The Year 3 students, guided by teacher Stephen, spent a semester learning about rainforests. To showcase their knowledge, each student created an individual artwork inspired by the rainforest. These vibrant designs were then digitally printed on our white cotton towels.

The result was bright, colourful and truly unique tea towels that captured the children’s creativity while raising awareness about the environment. These tea towels became more than just learning outcomes, they became lasting memories and beautiful fundraising products.

The school decided to sell their custom tea towels at their Exhibition Evening, with all proceeds donated to the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. After visiting the reserve, the students voted to support its conservation efforts, a wonderful example of young Australians choosing to give back to their community and environment.

This initiative reflects how schools can turn everyday classroom creativity into practical and purposeful fundraising with impact.
